Summary The Senior Analyst, Logistics Planning position is responsible for leading data-driven logistics planning and analytics initiatives, developing advanced reporting and business intelligence solutions, supporting operational and strategic decision-making through performance analysis and forecasting, and driving process improvement projects that enhance logistics efficiency and business results. The role serves as a key analytical resource by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, identifying trends and opportunities, and transforming complex data into actionable insights that support organizational objectives. Success in this role requires expertise in logistics analytics, data visualization, SQL and Python development, business intelligence reporting, project coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration. Compensation $53,279 - $63,934 yearly salary range. (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection) Responsibilities • Lead the collection, validation, analysis, and interpretation of logistics, transportation, operational, and financial data to support strategic and operational decision-making.• Develop and maintain advanced dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, and other business intelligence tools.• Analyze logistics performance metrics, transportation costs, operational KPIs, network efficiency, capacity utilization, and service-level trends to identify actionable insights.• Identify operational challenges, performance gaps, inefficiencies, and process improvement opportunities through quantitative and qualitative analysis.• Design and implement analytical models, automated reporting tools, and business intelligence solutions that improve visibility, reporting efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.• Support logistics planning initiatives by conducting forecasting, trend analysis, demand evaluations, capacity assessments, and scenario modeling activities.• Prepare executive summaries, business reviews, KPI scorecards, presentations, and decision-support reports for management and leadership teams.• Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and external stakeholders to gather requirements and support business initiatives.• Translate complex datasets and analytical findings into clear business recommendations that support operational effectiveness and strategic objectives.• Validate data integrity and reporting accuracy by performing audits, reconciliations, testing, and quality assurance reviews of analytical outputs.• Lead or support cross-functional projects focused on logistics optimization, reporting enhancements, cost reduction initiatives, and operational improvement efforts.• Provide analytical guidance and technical support to analysts and business stakeholders regarding reporting methodologies, dashboard usage, data interpretation, and analytical best practices.• Document business requirements, reporting processes, data definitions, and analytical methodologies to maintain consistency and governance standards.• Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in logistics analytics and business intelligence to enhance organizational capabilities.• Recommend and drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve operational visibility, forecasting accuracy, reporting effectiveness, and overall logistics performance. • Assist with implementation of new business intelligence platforms, data integration projects, and automation initiatives.• Support training activities and knowledge-sharing efforts related to reporting tools, analytical processes, and data visualization techniques.• Participate in strategic planning sessions, business reviews, and special projects supporting long-term operational and organizational goals.
