About HYUNDAI-POSCO Louisiana Steel
HYUNDAI-POSCO Louisiana Steel (HPLS) is a $5.8 billion landmark investment redefining the future of manufacturing in the United States. Located in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, this first-of-its-kind facility represents Hyundai Motor Group’s inaugural steel production base in North America, establishing a fully integrated, made-in-America supply chain supporting automotive production nationwide.
To support the development of this new operation, GLOVIS Louisiana (GLA) is being established to manage logistics activities associated with the steel manufacturing facility. Ahead of GLA’s formal establishment, a temporary GLA Task Force will operate within GLOVIS America (GUS) to recruit key personnel, develop the organization, and establish the operational foundation necessary to support the future logistics business. This structure will help ensure GLA is prepared to begin logistics operations upon establishment.
