About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

Business Finance is part of Google’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial and analytical support to Google’s business organization. Our work is integral to the strategic decision-making and operations of the commercial teams across all our advertising products. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and return of our various investments, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the commercial leaders.

As a Business Finance Analyst, Markket Intelligence, within the APAC Central Intelligence and Analytics (CIA) team, you serve as the central commercial radar, market intelligence backbone, and cross-product synthesizer. You act as a regional orchestrator and strategic challenger ensuring leadership has an objective, data-backed understanding of performance and the wider macroeconomic landscape. You empower regional and global leadership with proactive insights needed for long-term growth and informed decision-making.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Own the APAC Digital Advertising Market Sizing (AdEx) and Share of Wallet (SoW) models. Ensure sizing accuracy, establish standardized methodologies, and drive cross-functional alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Partner with sub-regional and market finance teams to review, pressure-test, and vet market estimates, growth assumptions, and engaging points of view, challenging constructively and in a data-driven manner.
  • Maintain continuous pulse on the external business environment, actively tracking APAC macroeconomic indicators, industry shifts, and financial performance, earnings releases, and news of major regional customers.
  • Lead evolution and modernization of the regional commercial fact pack, establishing regular cadences across product areas to translate fragmented performance data into a unified, executive-ready "One Google" narrative.
  • Build and maintain scalable SQL data pipelines and interactive BI dashboards, integrating market intelligence with internal performance telemetry, leveraging AI-driven workflow tools to streamline deliverables.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
