Job Description

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Finance team as a Financial Reporting & Analysis Analyst in Birmingham. The team provides high-quality financial reporting, planning and analysis that supports decision-making across the business.

You'll be involved in producing monthly management accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to a range of finance projects and initiatives.

This role would suit a part-qualified accountant looking to further develop their career. We will support you in completing your professional qualification through study and exam support, while also providing training in the TM1 systems used within the role.

About you:

We are looking for a commercially minded and naturally curious finance professional who enjoys working with data and translating numbers into meaningful business insights. With a strong management accounting background, you will be confident analysing financial performance, identifying trends and partnering with stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

The successful candidate will be newly or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong financial and commercial acumen, excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel capability. You will have an interest in finance systems and data, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the confidence to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.

You will be eager to learn, keen to develop your technical skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience within a law firm or professional services organisation would be advantageous, as would exposure to IBM Cognos and multi-office, multi-currency environments, although full training will be provided.

What We Can Offer You:

The opportunity to work for a firm which has been recognised as one of the best places to work in the UK and has been ranked by Great Place to Work® for 26 consecutive years.

Excellent benefits, including:

  • A hybrid approach to office and remote working.
  • 25 days annual leave, with the option to buy up to a week's extra annual leave
  • Free private medical insurance, and the option to add family members
  • A generous pension allowance
  • Life assurance covering four times your annual salary
  • The chance of a three-month sabbatical every five years
  • Maternity, paternity and adoption leave schemes
  • A range of health and wellbeing programmes
  • State of the art offices in Birmingham, with an onsite restaurant
  • Opportunities to flourish in your role through training and personal development

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
