The Business Process Optimization Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide initiatives that improve organizational effectiveness, operational efficiency, customer service, and workforce productivity. This role serves as an internal consultant, partnering with leaders across business functions to identify improvement opportunities, redesign processes, implement sustainable solutions, and drive measurable business results.

This role combines process improvement, change management, data analysis, project leadership, and technology enablement to eliminate waste, simplify work, enhance decision-making, and support strategic objectives. The Business Process Optimization Manager operates with a high degree of independence and influences stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

· Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives from assessment through implementation and sustainment.

· Evaluate current processes, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and facilitate future-state process design.

· Facilitate process discovery, value stream mapping, workflow analysis, and future-state design sessions.

· Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, recommendations, performance measures, and implementation plans.

· Advise leaders on operational challenges and improvement opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.

· Partner with Information Technology and business teams to improve systems, automate workflows, and support process digitization and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

· Analyze operational, financial, customer, and workforce data to identify trends, support decisions, and measure results.

· Develop and execute stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and change management activities that support adoption.

· Manage project scope, risks, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and expected benefits across multiple departments.

· Develop and execute change management plans to support successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

· Support enterprise process governance, documentation standards, and continuous improvement practices.

· Coach employees and leaders on process improvement methods and tools.

· Build organizational capability in continuous improvement methodologies and tools.

· Perform other duties, as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualities:

· Knowledge of business process management, operational excellence, Lean methodologies, process mapping, workflow design, change management, and project management.

· Understanding of data analytics, performance measurement, process automation, digital transformation, and organizational effectiveness.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, facilitation, and decision-support skills.

· Effective written, verbal, presentation, and executive-level communication skills.

· Ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted relationships across organizational levels.

· Ability to lead complex initiatives independently, manage competing priorities, and work effectively through ambiguity and change.

· Ability to translate strategic objectives into practical, measurable operational improvements.

Education, Training, Experience:

Required

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Public Administration, Information Systems, Organizational Development, or a related field.

· Seven (7) or more years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, management consulting, business transformation, project management, organizational effectiveness, analytics, or a related discipline.

· Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives with measurable results.

Preferred

· Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.

· Experience in a utility, energy, public-sector, or regulated-industry environment.

· Experience implementing enterprise technology solutions or supporting executive leadership teams.

Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:

· Lean Six Sigma, Certified Business Process Professional, Project Management Professional, change management, Agile, or Scrum certification, preferred.

· Valid Oklahoma driver's license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for an Oklahoma resident holding an out-of-state driver's license.

Physical/Mental Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment with routine use of computers, electronic systems, and standard office equipment.

· Must possess the mental, visual, and auditory acuity necessary to analyze complex information, facilitate meetings, prepare reports and presentations, and communicate effectively.

· Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and maintain attention to detail.

· May require travel to other GRDA locations and work sites, as needed.
