The posting

  The ultimate blend of traditional cuisine and a setting that is anything but traditional, Bevo reinvents the Italian dining experience in Old Montreal with its original cocktails and cozy urban pub atmosphere. Under the supervision of the Service Manager and the Chef, the Food Runner is primarily responsible for ensuring smooth operations and effective communication between the kitchen and the dining room. RESPONSIBILITIES

Announce order tickets at the pass to the Chef and kitchen brigade. Ensure consistency in the presentation and temperature of dishes before they are sent to the dining room. Serve as the sole point of communication between the dining room and the kitchen. Ensure compliance with established standards for food presentation and quality, and determine whether dishes are ready to be served to guests. Manage timing and pace to ensure smooth service for each table. Maintain thorough product knowledge to perform accurate and efficient visual inspections of dishes. Clean and wipe plates before they are sent to tables. Work closely with both the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure efficient and appropriate service for guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the same or a similar position. Training in food service or culinary arts is an asset. Experience in a high-volume environment. Strong ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks effectively. Leadership skills. Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative. Availability to work evenings and weekends. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
