Job description

Overview OPUS EDM provides Enterprise Data Management Solutions for Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Insurance companies, Software companies and Treasury functions in large institutions.

Position Summary The Implementation Consulting Specialist role is part of a team based in India working with clients globally on implementation activities, generally in an offsite capacity; however, at times team members are required to travel to client sites to assist with onsite implementation activities.

The team is coached and led by a senior Managing Consultants and Lead Consultants, and are trained in using SQL Server, the EDM application, and in the informational needs of modern financial institutions.

The role is dynamic and provides a fantastic opportunity to build a solid career solving the data management issues of global top tier financial institutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform EDM configuration activities, including building interfaces, configuration functionality, validating rules etc to meet the client specifications.
  • Review and analyse client requirements and overlay into OPUS EDM solutions with best practices.
  • Testing the project deliverables ensuring they are in line with documented requirements.
  • Participate in testing processes throughout project lifecycle.
  • Support the release management process and cutover into Production.
  • Interacting with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information flows.
  • Investigates and documents existing procedures.
  • Ability to self-manage workload and prioritise multiple tasks allocated.
  • Build excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, including end users and internal teams.

Job Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Finance with 7-8 years’ development experience.
  • Must have at least 5-6 years' of EDM implementation / Support experience.
  • Strong Understanding of the EDM Product functionality includingSolution Design for overall EDM solution and workflows Building and configuring Integration Components Building and configuring Master and Matcher Components Performance Configuration Analysis of orchestration design and scheduling solutions EDM Best Practice and Design Patterns
  • Strong proficiency with SQL statements, designing tables, stored procedures, views and functions. Preference in SQL Server.
  • Performance Tuning - SQL Optimization, Solution Optimization.
  • Overall knowledge of infrastructure components supporting product deployment.
  • Basic Understanding of Financial Instruments like Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives.
  • Good Data Model knowledge and experience of working within financial database implementations.
  • Knowledge of financial markets products, a broad understanding of the investment bank process, middle-office systems and operations, and associated data management needs is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
