Contexte de la mission

Dans le cadre de la modernisation de ses infrastructures de calcul intensif, un acteur majeur du calcul scientifique recherche un expert HPC afin d'accompagner ses utilisateurs dans l'adoption de nouvelles architectures GPU et l'optimisation d'applications scientifiques et de workflows IA.

La mission combine activités de formation, documentation technique, conseil, portage et optimisation de codes dans un environnement HPC de nouvelle génération.

Vos principales missions

Formation et transfert de compétences

  • Réaliser une veille technique et étudier les caractéristiques des nouvelles architectures GPU mises en œuvre sur les supercalculateurs du centre
  • Concevoir et animer des formations, en français et/ou en anglais, sur l'utilisation des technologies GPU en environnement HPC
  • Élaborer les supports pédagogiques, travaux pratiques et exercices associés
  • Accompagner les utilisateurs dans la prise en main des nouvelles architectures de calcul

Documentation technique

  • Rédiger la documentation d'utilisation des technologies GPU pour différents langages de programmation
  • Produire des guides de bonnes pratiques et d'optimisation des applications HPC
  • Documenter l'utilisation et l'optimisation des réseaux d'interconnexion haute performance
  • Contribuer à la capitalisation des connaissances et au partage d'expertise au sein des communautés scientifiques

Accompagnement et optimisation des applications

  • Analyser les codes de calcul et les environnements applicatifs des utilisateurs
  • Étudier et optimiser les frameworks et workflows d'intelligence artificielle
  • Réaliser des audits techniques et rédiger des rapports de préconisations
  • Intégrer, configurer et adapter les applications sur les infrastructures HPC
  • Accompagner les utilisateurs dans l'amélioration des performances de leurs applications

Portage et optimisation GPU

  • Porter des applications scientifiques sur architectures CPU/GPU
  • Optimiser les performances des codes de calcul et des workflows IA
  • Identifier et corriger les points de contention et anomalies de performance
  • Exploiter les outils de profiling, debugging et d'analyse de performances
  • Contribuer à l'amélioration continue des bonnes pratiques de développement HPC

Environnement technique

Les projets s'appuient principalement sur les technologies suivantes :

  • Architectures HPC de nouvelle génération
  • GPU AMD et programmation accélérée
  • Réseaux haute performance à faible latence
  • Calcul scientifique et calcul parallèle
  • Frameworks d'intelligence artificielle et de Machine Learning
  • Langages de programmation scientifique : C/C++, Fortran, Python
  • Modèles de programmation parallèle : MPI, OpenMP, HIP, OpenACC, OpenMP Offload
  • Outils de profiling, debugging et optimisation de performances

Profil recherché

  • Formation Bac+5, École d'Ingénieur, Master ou Doctorat
  • Expérience significative en HPC, calcul scientifique ou optimisation de performances
  • Solides compétences en programmation parallèle et architectures GPU
  • Expérience dans le portage et l'optimisation d'applications scientifiques
  • Capacité à vulgariser des sujets techniques complexes et à animer des formations
  • Aisance rédactionnelle en français et en anglais technique
