Position Summary The Warehouse Associate performs warehouse, production, and material-handling activities that support the processing, storage, and movement of donated goods and inventory. This hands-on role is essential to the success of our retail and mission operations. What You'll Do
Sort, organize, package, and prepare donated goods and materials for processing or shipment. Move, stage, stock, and store merchandise throughout the warehouse. Load textiles and other materials into designated equipment and production areas. Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory and donations. Safely operate warehouse equipment and machinery as trained. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as assigned. Load and unload trucks while following all safety procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Meet productivity, quality, and attendance expectations. Follow all Goodwill Columbus policies, procedures, and safety standards. Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or potential risks promptly. Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Commitment to workplace safety. Ability to lift, carry, sort, and move merchandise throughout the workday. Warehouse, production, logistics, or distribution experience is helpful but not required. Forklift or material-handling equipment experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and grasp throughout the workday. Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds. Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements. Work in a physically active environment for extended periods.
Work Environment
Warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels. Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Work around moving equipment, machinery, and materials. Safety-focused workplace requiring adherence to established procedures.
