Job Summary

Manage comprehensive accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective collaboration with auditors and tax authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing to ensure timely and accurate financial records
  • Manage full spectrum of accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial data
  • Prepare financial statements and accounting reports to support business decision-making and regulatory compliance
  • Liaise with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax authorities to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to tax regulations
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, GST regulations, and corporate tax obligations to mitigate financial risks
  • Manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines to support smooth accounting operations
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain strong professional relationships and resolve accounting issues
  • Analyze financial data and solve problems to improve accounting processes and client management
  • Collaborate as a team player to support department goals and foster a positive work environment

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline (essential for professional accounting knowledge and practice)
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting requirements in Singapore (critical for compliance and accurate reporting)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred to demonstrate proficiency and depth of expertise)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (preferred to enhance stakeholder engagement)
  • Strong background in analysis, problem-solving, and client management (preferred to support effective financial oversight)
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills (preferred to contribute to collaborative work culture)
