About The Role

Hiring Manager: Daniel Spinks – General Manager + Claire Baker – General Manager

Location & Hours: Hybrid – The Motorist (LS25 6JE), Hornington Manor & WFH, 40 hours per week | Primarily Monday-Friday

We are looking for a Finance Manager who knows their numbers inside out, sees the bigger picture and brings fresh thinking to the table. You will own financial management, reporting and compliance for both venues, supported by the Harrison Spinks accounts team, including purchase ledger and wider transactional support.

Working with Daniel and Claire and their respective management teams, you will deliver dependable numbers, useful insight and supportive financial coaching. There are no direct reports; significant financial decisions require General Manager approval.

What You'll Do

Financial Management, Reporting & Compliance

  • Produce monthly management accounts, reconciliations and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Manage cash flow, payroll, banking, VAT, tax compliance and financial controls.
  • Act as the key contact for auditors and ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and internal requirements.

Commercial Insight & Performance

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting processes.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs, prepare board reports and provide meaningful financial analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, manage costs and support business performance.

Business Partnering

  • Work closely with General Managers and departmental leaders to support budget ownership and financial decision-making.
  • Provide financial coaching, guidance and challenge to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Harrison Spinks finance team and Group Finance Director to ensure effective financial management and reporting.

Projects, Systems & Continuous Improvement

  • Support business cases, investment appraisals and strategic projects.
  • Provide financial oversight on property and facilities-related expenditure.
  • Utilise Dynamics 365 and champion AI, automation and process improvements to enhance reporting, efficiency and decision-making.

About You

What You’ll Bring

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with strong experience in financial management, reporting, compliance and controls.
  • Excellent budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills, with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator able to build relationships, influence stakeholders and present financial information to senior leaders.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and support others in understanding financial performance.
  • Strong systems skills, including an interest in AI, automation and continuous process improvement. Experience with Dynamics 365, hospitality/events environments or multi-site operations would be advantageous.
