The Opportunity
As the Senior Stores Person, you will always demonstrate day-to-day activities and productivity of the team, ensuring efficient inventory management and order processing. You'll be a key player in supporting the stores team providing guidance and training and ensuring smooth operations. This is a full-time position reporting to the Stores Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve:
- Demonstrating and mentoring the stores team
- Overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Monitoring stock levels and conducting regular cyclic counts and stocktakes
- Ensuring accuracy in the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods
- Handling order processing, from placement to picking and packing
- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving team conflicts
What Makes You a Great Fit
- A strong background in warehousing and leadership
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and software
- A valid Forklift License
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift 15-20kg
- Experience with MRP & ERP systems is essential, and an HR Licence is a plus!
