This is a senior clinical leadership opportunity for an Arabic-speaking Consultant Psychiatrist ready to help build a new psychiatric service from the ground up — not step into an existing structure, but help define one.

Opportunity Snapshot

  • Role: Consultant Psychiatrist, addiction and rehabilitation treatment center
  • Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE — relocation required
  • Contract: International contract, full-time, senior clinical leadership
  • Arabic requirement: Fluent Arabic required
  • Salary: AED 60,000–65,000/month, tax-free, plus family airfare and an education allowance

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (relocation required) — open to candidates currently based in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Windsor, London, Montréal, or elsewhere in Canada and the US

What You'll Do

  • Lead clinical governance and complex detox and dual-diagnosis case management
  • Guide workforce development for the new psychiatric service
  • Work with executive leadership to establish treatment pathways and clinical standards

Candidate Profile

Required:

  • Fluent Arabic speaker
  • Medical degree (MD/DO) with board certification in Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Eligible for professional licensure/registration in your current country of practice

Preferred:

  • Experience in healthcare service development, team leadership, or start-up/greenfield clinical environments

Licensing and Relocation

Eligibility for UAE licensure is assessed individually by the relevant health authority — not by HealthOPM — and approval is never guaranteed.
