At the Cottages, the Environmental Services team plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for elders, families, visitors, and team members. As an Environmental Services Tech, you will help bring that mission to life by creating a comfortable, clean, and well-cared-for environment every day. What You’ll Do As an Environmental Services Tech, you will be responsible for keeping assigned areas clean, sanitary, organized, and ready for elders, families, and team members. You will:
Maintain a clean and safe environment throughout assigned areas. Clean and sanitize elder rooms and assigned spaces on a consistent schedule. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain flooring throughout the Cottages. Clean and sanitize bathrooms and other high-touch areas. Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Maintain clean and inviting hallways, common areas, offices, and gathering spaces. Keep housekeeping carts clean, organized, and properly stocked. Collect and transport laundry or linens as assigned. Assist with room transitions and deeper cleaning needs. Restock supplies and communicate when additional items are needed. Keep hand-sanitizer stations and other infection-control supplies stocked as appropriate. Respond promptly and professionally to unexpected cleaning needs. Use cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment safely and appropriately. Follow established sanitation, infection-control, and safety procedures. Work closely with other departments to help maintain a comfortable, home-like environment. Jump in wherever needed to help the Cottages look and feel their best.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or similar experience preferred. Experience working in a service-focused environment is helpful but not required.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely perform the physical duties associated with environmental services. Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be able to safely use housekeeping equipment, cleaning products, and chemicals. Must be flexible and calm when responding to elder, family, visitor, or team needs. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must follow established sanitation, infection-control, and safety procedures. Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, communicable diseases, and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
