Part-Time Day Nurse (RN/LPN) – Hillcrest Millard Location: Omaha, NEService Line: Hillcrest MillardSchedule: Part-Time Days Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and clinically strong RNs and LPNs to join our day team at Hillcrest Millard in Omaha, NE. Hillcrest Millard provides post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care in a modern, supportive environment focused on helping guests and residents recover, regain independence, and receive high-quality care. What You’ll Do As a Day Nurse, you will provide hands-on clinical care while helping coordinate the needs of guests and residents throughout the day. You will:
Provide high-quality nursing care to guests and residents in a post-acute and long-term care setting. Administer medications accurately, safely, and according to physician orders and established procedures. Complete prescribed treatments and monitor response to care. Assess guests and residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly. Use strong clinical judgment to determine appropriate next steps when needs change. Complete weekly assessments accurately and on time. Help maintain skin integrity by following preventative skin-care practices and completing required skin assessments. Review and update care plans as guest or resident needs change. Complete admission care plans and assist with transitions of care. Partner with Nurse Techs and other care team members to ensure care is completed according to the plan of care. Provide clinical guidance and support to members of the nursing team. Complete required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly. Participate in daily interdisciplinary huddles and communicate important clinical updates. Work closely with physicians, families, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members. Respond calmly and effectively to changing or urgent clinical situations. Follow established infection-control, medication-management, safety, and regulatory requirements. Jump in wherever needed to help the team provide excellent care.

A genuine interest in post-acute rehabilitation and caring for aging adults.
Education & Credentials
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Current Nebraska or compact-state RN or LPN license required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. One year of experience in long-term care, post-acute rehabilitation, hospital, or a similar setting preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds. Must be able to safely provide hands-on nursing care and assist with resident or guest needs as required. Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout the shift. Must be flexible and calm when responding to guests, residents, families, and team members during stressful situations. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established nursing, medication, infection-control, documentation, and safety procedures. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
