Our client specialize in manufacture and repair of switchgear, switchboards, electrical control panels, electric motors, transformers, and power distribution equipment. They provide electrical manufacturing and engineering solutions for industrial and commercial applications in Singapore.

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Data Center Commissioning Engineers (Cx) with hands-on experience in testing, commissioning and integrated system testing of mission-critical facilities.

The successful candidate will participate in Data Center Cx1–Cx5 commissioning activities, working closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, M&E contractors and equipment vendors.

Job Description

  • Perform and coordinate Data Center commissioning activities from Cx1 to Cx5
  • Review commissioning plans, method statements, checklists and test scripts
  • Conduct equipment and system inspections, pre-functional testing and functional performance testing
  • Support FAT, SAT and Site Acceptance Testing
  • Carry out testing and commissioning of electrical and/or mechanical systems
  • Participate in Integrated System Testing (IST)
  • Coordinate with client, consultant, main contractor, subcontractors and equipment vendors
  • Identify commissioning defects and track issues until closure
  • Prepare testing records, commissioning reports and final documentation
  • Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during commissioning
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, safety requirements and relevant standards
  • Electrical Experience Preferred
  • Candidates with experience in the following systems will have an advantage:MV / LV Switchgear Transformers UPS Systems Battery Systems Generator Systems ATS / STS Busduct / Busway PDU / RPP Protection Relay Testing Cable Testing Load Bank Testing BMS / EPMS
  • Candidates with experience in the following systems will have an advantage:Chillers Cooling Towers CRAH / CRAC Chilled Water Systems Pumps AHU / FCU HVAC Control Systems BMS Cooling System Functional Testing

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering / testing & commissioning experience
  • Data Center commissioning experience is strongly preferred
  • Familiar with Cx1, Cx2, Cx3, Cx4 and Cx5 commissioning processes
  • Able to read electrical single-line diagrams, M&E drawings and technical specifications
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to prepare testing reports and commissioning documentation
  • Willing to work at project sites and travel within Malaysia
  • Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders

Preferred Experience

  • Candidates who have participated in hyperscale or large-scale Data Center projects involving:Cx3 Equipment Testing Cx4 Functional Performance Testing Cx5 Integrated System Testing (IST)
  • Load Bank Testing
  • Electrical System Failure Simulation
  • Cooling System Failure Simulation
  • Black Building / Power Failure Testing

Salary Range: Up to RM9k

Locations: Pasir Gudang, Johor
