This is a varied technical role that will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues, customers and suppliers while contributing practical ideas and high-quality engineering solutions.

Some key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Develop electrical requirements specifications for railway vehicles
  • Support onboard integration testing of electrical functions
  • Participate in technical design reviews with customers and suppliers

About you

You will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical background, supported by a strong understanding of electrical systems and schematics.

Previous experience as an Electrical Systems Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer or in a comparable role would be beneficial. Experience within rail, transportation, automotive, aerospace or another highly regulated engineering environment would also be welcomed.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, schematics and engineering principles
  • Experience producing electrical designs, wiring diagrams or technical documentation
  • The ability to manage and plan assigned tasks independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The confidence to work with different internal teams, customers, suppliers and external partners
  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced and multitasking environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A practical and constructive approach to engineering challenges
  • An interest in keeping up to date with evolving technologies and industry best practice
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Availability for occasional national and international business travel

Knowledge of electrical design software, particularly E3 Zuken, would be advantageous. Familiarity with mechanical design tools such as AutoCAD, Creo or CATIA, as well as the IBM DOORS requirements management tool, would also be beneficial.

An understanding of railway engineering processes, operations and the regulations governing the design and testing of railway electrical systems would be welcomed. Knowledge of written and spoken Italian would be an additional advantage but is not essential.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
