About the job Chef De Partie (Hot&Cold Kitchen)

Job Purpose:

The Chef de Partie plays a key role in leading a specific section of the kitchen. Responsible for supervising and supporting junior staff, ensuring consistency in food quality and presentation, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organization. This mid-level position reports to the Sous Chef and is essential to the smooth operation of daily kitchen service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a designated section (Hot or Cold) in the kitchen and ensure consistent, high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Supervise and train Commis Chefs and other junior staff within your section.
  • Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in your section, following food safety regulations at all times.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections and the Sous Chef for smooth and efficient service.
  • Monitor inventory levels in your section and inform the Sous Chef of ordering needs.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment in your section is properly maintained and report any malfunctions.
  • Contribute to menu development and dish innovation within your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment, even during high-pressure service periods.
  • Uphold the brand standards of Home Bakery and act as a role model for junior staff.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in hotels or upscale restaurants in the UAE.
  • Proven ability to manage a kitchen section independently.
