About the job Demi Chef De Partie - Pastry Section

Job Purpose:

As a Demi Chef de Partie (Pastry Section), you will support the Chef de Partie in delivering exceptional pastries and baked goods that meet our high-quality standards. This role is ideal for a skilled pastry Commis ready to step up, or someone with foundational leadership experience in a pastry kitchen. You'll assist with preparation, oversee junior staff when required, and ensure consistency, hygiene, and creativity in every pastry item produced.

Responsibilities:

Support the Chef de Partie in managing daily operations of the pastry/breakfast section.Prepare and present pastry items following recipes, portioning guidelines, and plating standards.Assist with supervising and guiding Commis Chefs and kitchen stewards when delegated.Maintain cleanliness, organization, and strict hygiene across your station at all times.Monitor inventory, ensure proper stock rotation, and notify the Chef de Partie of any stock needs.Help train and mentor junior team members, sharing techniques and best practices.Ensure timely and efficient service during peak periods.Contribute creative ideas for new menu items, recipes, or seasonal features.Uphold all food safety standards and company SOPs.Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach in a team-oriented kitchen.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hotels or upscale restaurants in the UAE.
  • Solid understanding of both traditional and contemporary pastry techniques.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive kitchen environment.
