Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Turn Everyday Challenges Into Progress Company: Home Health Care, Inc. Location: Twin Cities Metro Area Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Compensation: $82,000–$110,000 per year (Paid Per Visit) + Mileage Reimbursement To Stand Out Email Nikky Vogelgesang at [email protected] with your resume and a brief overview of your COTA experience, clinical background, and what you enjoy most about solving functional challenges for your patients. Sometimes the Biggest Barrier to Recovery Is Something No One Notices Until They Get Home. The bathroom is too tight for the walker. The patient can't reach the clothes in their closet. Their favorite chair is suddenly too difficult to get out of. The kitchen setup that worked for 20 years doesn't work after a stroke. The spouse helping with transfers isn't sure they're doing it safely. The patient technically knows how to complete the task—but their actual home makes it harder. This is where Occupational Therapy gets interesting. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with Home Health Care, Inc., you'll work with patients inside the environment where their everyday challenges actually exist. You'll see the problem. Work from the Occupational Therapist's plan of care. And help the patient figure out how to overcome it. If You're a Problem-Solver, Home Health Was Made for You. Great COTAs don't just run through exercises. You observe. Adapt. Teach. Encourage. Problem-solve. And find practical ways to help patients accomplish things they may have taken for granted before an illness, injury, hospitalization, or surgery. Sometimes that means improving strength or coordination. Sometimes it's teaching a different way to complete a task. Sometimes it's introducing adaptive equipment. And sometimes it's noticing one small obstacle in the patient's environment that's making everything harder. Every home is different. Every patient is different. Every visit asks you to think. That's what makes this work rewarding. Your Treatment Has an Immediate Test: Does It Work in Real Life? You'll work one-on-one with patients on the activities they actually need to perform between visits. That could mean helping someone: Get dressed without relying on their spouse Safely complete bathing and grooming tasks Improve upper-extremity strength and coordination Prepare a simple meal Use adaptive equipment correctly Develop safer strategies for everyday routines Improve fine motor skills Conserve energy during daily activities Adapt after a neurological event or physical decline Regain confidence completing activities independently You don't have to recreate the patient's daily environment. You're already standing in it. What You'll Do Working under the direction of the supervising Occupational Therapist, you'll: Provide one-on-one Occupational Therapy treatments in patients' homes Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the OT Address activities of daily living and functional routines Provide therapeutic activities and exercises Work on upper-extremity function, coordination, and functional mobility Reinforce home exercise programs Teach adaptive techniques and compensatory strategies Educate patients and caregivers on safety Reinforce appropriate use of adaptive equipment Monitor patient response and progress Identify changes and communicate them to the supervising Occupational Therapist Collaborate with PT, nursing, SLP, physicians, and other interdisciplinary clinicians Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation You're Not Just Treating a Diagnosis. You're Troubleshooting a Life. Two patients can have the same diagnosis and need completely different treatment. Why? Because their homes are different. Their routines are different. Their support systems are different. Their goals are different. And the things they need to accomplish every day are different. Home health gives you the opportunity to see all of that. Then use your COTA skills to do something about it. Build a Career That Rewards What You Put Into It This position offers $82,000–$110,000 in annualized earning potential through a paid-per-visit compensation model. For an organized, motivated COTA who can effectively manage a field-based schedule, that creates an opportunity for strong earning potential while maintaining the independence that makes home health different. You'll also receive mileage reimbursement between patient visits. Why COTAs Choose Home Health Care, Inc. $82,000–$110,000 annualized earning potential Paid-per-visit compensation Mileage reimbursement between patient visits Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities Meaningful one-on-one patient care Greater autonomy throughout your workday Variety from one patient and home environment to the next Collaboration with experienced Occupational Therapists Experienced clinical and interdisciplinary support Benefits That Support You in the Field Home Health Care, Inc. also offers eligible employees: Free access to our MedBridge Education Hub for continuing education and professional development Licensure reimbursement when it's time to renew Annual scrub reimbursement Mileage reimbursement between patient visits Cell phone reimbursement for eligible clinicians Comprehensive medical coverage Dental and vision coverage Life and disability insurance PTO Paid holidays 401(k) Structured orientation and clinical support Opportunities for continued growth throughout our family of healthcare companies New to Home Health? Your COTA Skills Still Apply. You don't need to come from another home health agency. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
