Company Description
Join a company that truly values making a difference in people's lives. Home Instead Eastbourne and Hailsham were established in 2015 and we are the first home care provider in East Sussex to have been rated as OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission and have since received a second OUTSTANDING rating this year. We deliver personalised, relationship-led support with 1 hour minimum visits, that helps individuals maintain their independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.
Job Description
You know what great care looks like. Now is the time to help us deliver it.
Think about the best care you’ve ever seen. A Care Professional who knew exactly how someone liked their tea. A care plan built around the person, not the paperwork. A family who could finally stop worrying.
That’s what we do every day at Home Instead Eastbourne and Hailsham, and we’re looking for a Deputy Care Manager to help us do more of it.
If you’re an experienced care leader who wants to spend less time firefighting and more time making a real difference, this could be the role you’ve been waiting for.
Why this role is different
You’ll have time to care properly. Our visits are never rushed, so you can build genuine relationships with the people we support and the Care Professionals you lead.
You’ll shape people’s lives from the very first conversation. From the first consultation through to matching each client with the right Care Professional, you’ll see the difference your decisions make.
You’ll grow people. Mentoring, supervising and training our Care Professionals is at the heart of this role. When they shine, you’ll know you played a part.
You’ll be backed by a team who genuinely care. You’ll work closely with our Care Manager as a trusted right hand, helping to lead a service our community can rely on.
Qualifications
You’ll be a great fit if you have
- A Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience delivering a wide range of personal care
- Experience of overseeing medication in a supervisory role
- Sound knowledge of Health and Social Care legislation, including confidentiality
- Confidence with technology, and the patience to help others get to grips with it
- Good IT skills across Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and video calls
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Willingness to take part in our on-call rota, which may occasionally involve providing care
- A warm, organised and flexible approach, and the ability to put people at ease quickly
Additional Information
What’s in it for you
- Company Pension Scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Private Health Insurance (once probation period completed)
- Additional payment for the on-call duty
Make your next move count
If you want a role where you can truly see the difference you make, we’d love to hear from you!
