The posting

At HonorBridge, our mission is to build connections that save and heal lives through organ and tissue donation. Achieving that mission requires visionary leadership, enterprise thinking, and a commitment to continuous improvement in an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

We are seeking a Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to lead the development and execution of HonorBridge's long-term strategic direction, organizational performance excellence efforts, and enterprise growth initiatives. Serving as a key advisor to the President/CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, the CSO will help shape the future of HonorBridge by identifying strategic opportunities, driving organizational alignment, advancing innovation, and ensuring enterprise-wide execution of strategic priorities.

This role is ideal for a forward-thinking executive who combines strategic vision with operational insight and can translate complex challenges and emerging trends into actionable plans that strengthen mission impact, organizational performance, and long-term sustainability.

The Opportunity

The Chief Strategy Officer serves as HonorBridge's executive leader for enterprise strategy, strategic performance, innovation, and organizational excellence. The role is responsible for helping define where the organization is going, how it will get there, and how success will be measured.

As the executive champion of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, the CSO will help strengthen leadership alignment, performance management, continuous improvement, workforce engagement, and enterprise accountability across the organization.

Working closely with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and key stakeholders, the CSO will identify opportunities to enhance organizational effectiveness, evaluate market and industry trends, foster innovation, and ensure HonorBridge remains agile and well-positioned to fulfill its mission for years to come.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development, advancement, and ongoing evolution of HonorBridge's enterprise strategy in partnership with the President/CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
  • Translate organizational vision and mission into clear strategic priorities, objectives, initiatives, and measurable outcomes.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing recommendations and insights that inform critical organizational decisions.
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide strategic planning processes and organizational prioritization efforts.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives, investments, and organizational resources align with HonorBridge's mission and long-term goals.
  • Establish governance processes and accountability mechanisms that support successful strategy execution.
  • Develop enterprise performance management approaches that provide meaningful insights into strategic progress, organizational effectiveness, and mission impact.
  • Monitor organizational performance and partner with leaders to address barriers, realign priorities, and drive successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Design and maintain enterprise-level reporting and strategic intelligence frameworks for executive leadership and the Board.
  • Evaluate organizational opportunities, risks, trends, and emerging issues that may impact HonorBridge's future direction.
  • Monitor developments in healthcare, transplantation, donation, technology, public policy, regulations, demographics, and market conditions to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities, partnerships, innovative solutions, emerging technologies, and new organizational capabilities.
  • Lead HonorBridge's application and continued advancement of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework.
  • Champion a culture of strategic thinking, innovation, accountability, collaboration, performance excellence, and continuous learning.
  • Provide executive oversight of operational excellence, business intelligence, project management, and continuous improvement functions.
  • Partner with executive leaders to ensure transformation efforts and organizational change initiatives remain aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Facilitate strategic dialogue and enterprise decision-making among leaders and stakeholders.
  • Communicate strategic progress, organizational performance, emerging insights, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Represent HonorBridge in industry partnerships, strategic forums, collaborative initiatives, and stakeholder engagements as delegated by the President/CEO.
  • Promote HonorBridge's mission, vision, values, and commitment to service excellence in every interaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President/CEO.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
