We are seeking a Hospital Liaison to serve as a trusted partner to healthcare teams, foster strong hospital relationships, and help strengthen donation outcomes across our service area. The Opportunity
The Hospital Liaison serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned hospitals, helping increase awareness, engagement, and performance related to organ and tissue donation. This role focuses on developing strategic partnerships, identifying opportunities to improve donation processes, educating healthcare professionals, and supporting hospitals in achieving donation best practices.
As a key representative of HonorBridge, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, administrators, and clinical staff to ensure donation opportunities are recognized, referrals occur appropriately, and collaborative processes are in place to maximize the gift of donation.
Travel to hospitals throughout the service area as needed. Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required to support hospital partners and donation activities.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, nurses, and key stakeholders within assigned hospitals.
- Create and execute strategic hospital development plans designed to increase organ and tissue donation opportunities.
- Collaborate with hospital partners to establish goals, monitor progress, and implement initiatives that improve donation performance.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on donation-related regulations, policies, and best practices, including CMS and Joint Commission requirements.
- Evaluate donor potential and hospital referral processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct death record reviews, referral analyses, and process assessments to support quality improvement efforts.
- Develop and implement action plans that strengthen donation outcomes and improve referral performance.
- Conduct after-action reviews and provide timely feedback and follow-up following donation activity.
- Identify process gaps and work collaboratively with hospital teams to resolve barriers and improve consistency.
- Partner with HonorBridge clinical and operational teams during referrals and donation cases to support successful outcomes.
- Provide educational programs, in-services, presentations, and training opportunities for healthcare professionals.
- Promote ongoing communication and collaboration between hospital staff and HonorBridge teams.
- Coordinate hospital development initiatives that enhance awareness, engagement, and referral performance.
- Monitor hospital needs and proactively develop solutions that improve the donation process.
- Maintain access to and appropriately utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) to support donation activities.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient, donor, recipient, and hospital information at all times.
- Represent HonorBridge's mission, values, and commitment to service excellence in every interaction.
What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area.
- Demonstrated relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to service excellence.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable strategies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across diverse audiences.
- Passion for healthcare, organ donation, and serving others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience working in healthcare, hospital operations, clinical education, business development, or a related field.
- Experience presenting to clinical and professional audiences.
- Familiarity with quality improvement and performance management methodologies.
Work Environment
This position operates in both hospital and office environments and requires regular travel throughout the service area. The role involves frequent interaction with healthcare professionals and may require evening and weekend work as needed to support hospital partners and organizational objectives.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting and/or carrying up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to travel regularly between healthcare facilities and organizational locations.
