Das erwartet dich bei uns

Als unser erstes Finance-Teammitglied vor Ort in den USA spielst du eine Schlüsselrolle beim Inhousing unserer US-Buchhaltung von der externen Kanzlei. Du übernimmst das operative Tagesgeschäft sowie die Monatsabschlüsse und gestaltest das finanzielle Fundament unserer wachsenden US-Tochtergesellschaft von Grund auf mit. Wenn du gerne skalierbare Prozesse aufbaust und dich mittelfristig in eine erweiterte, verantwortungsvolle Finance-Position für unser Nordamerika-Geschäft entwickeln möchtest, ist das deine Chance.

Das erwartet dich in deiner Rolle

  • Ganzheitliche Buchhaltung & Abschlüsse: Eigenverantwortliche Führung der laufenden Buchhaltung und Durchführung der Monatsabschlüsse nach US GAAP – inklusive Buchungen, Abgrenzungen, Kontenabstimmungen, Intercompany-Abstimmungen mit dem deutschen HQ sowie der Erstellung der Reporting-Pakete.
  • E-Commerce & Kanal-Abstimmung: Abstimmung und Konsolidierung aller Vertriebskanäle (Amazon US/CA/MX Settlement-Dateien, Shopify, Adyen, PayPal und Händler-Rechnungen). Führung der Verrechnungskonten, Payout-zu-Bank-Abstimmung und Periodenabgrenzung zum Monatsende.
  • Sales Tax & Compliance: Vollständige Verantwortung für die US-Sales-Tax-Compliance über Avalara (Filings, Nexus-Überwachung, Abstimmung der Sales Tax Payable je Bundesstaat) sowie Unterstützung des deutschen Teams bei der kanadischen GST/HST.
  • Kreditoren, Debitoren & Banken: Abwicklung der Kreditorenbuchhaltung, Ausführung von Zahlläufen über US-Banken sowie Forderungsmanagement und Inkassoprozesse für Händlerkunden.
  • Payroll Management: Steuerung der US-Gehaltsabrechnung mit dem externen Dienstleister – von der Datenlieferung über die Kontrolle und Verbuchung bis hin zur Abstimmung der Lohn- und Abgabenkonten.
  • Warenbestand & Wareneinsatz: Bewertung und Abstimmung von Warenbestand und Wareneinsatz (COGS), einschließlich Goods-in-Transit und der Verrechnungspreise gegenüber der deutschen Muttergesellschaft.
  • Prozessoptimierung & Kanzlei-Schnittstelle: Erste Ansprechperson für die externe US-Kanzlei bei Jahresabschlüssen, Steuererklärungen und Prüfungsanfragen. Aufbau, Dokumentation und Automatisierung schlanker Prozesse für die neu internalisierte Buchhaltung.

Das wünschen wir uns von dir

  • Ausbildung & Erfahrung: Abgeschlossenes Studium in Accounting, Finance oder Betriebswirtschaft (Bachelor) sowie 4–6 Jahre fundierte Berufserfahrung in der Unternehmensbuchhaltung (nicht ausschließlich Kanzlei/Wirtschaftsprüfung).
  • US GAAP & Abschlusssicherheit: Nachweisbare Erfahrung in der eigenverantwortlichen Durchführung von Monatsabschlüssen nach US GAAP.
  • Sales Tax & Avalara: Tiefe Kenntnisse im US-Sales-Tax-Recht (Filings, Multi-State-Nexus-Beurteilung, Registrierungen) und produktive, sichere Anwendung von Avalara im Arbeitsalltag.
  • Banken & Operatives Geschäft: Praktische Erfahrung in der Debitoren-/Kreditorenbuchhaltung, im Zahlungsverkehr über US-Banken und der Steuerung externer Payroll-Dienstleister.
  • ERP & Excel-Power: Sicherer Umgang mit modernen ERP-Systemen im Abschlussgeschäft sowie Power-User-Kenntnisse in Excel/Google Sheets (Pivot, XLOOKUP, Verarbeitung großer Exportdateien).
  • Analytische Genauigkeit & KI-Nutzung: Ausgeprägtes Geschick im Abgleich unterschiedlicher Datenquellen, um Differenzen bis auf den Cent zu klären. Offenheit für moderne KI-Tools (z. B. ChatGPT, Claude) zur Beschleunigung von Routinen und Datenanalysen.
  • Prozessdokumentation: Fähigkeit, Abläufe so zu strukturieren und zu dokumentieren, dass sie für Dritte transparent und nachvollziehbar sind.
  • Sprachen: Verhandlungssicheres Englisch (Deutschkenntnisse sind ein Plus).

Nice to have:

  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) oder laufendes CPA-Examen.
  • Weiterbildung oder vertiefte Erfahrung im Bereich Multi-State Taxation.
  • Berufserfahrung in einer US-Tochtergesellschaft eines europäischen Mutterunternehmens.
