We're hiring a Senior Pricing Executive - Import & Export

Location: Karachi, Pakistan Department: Freight Forwarding – Import & Export Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role:

Our client company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Pricing Executive to join our Freight Forwarding Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining competitive freight rates, negotiating with international partners and carriers, and developing strategic pricing solutions for both import and export shipments.

The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of international logistics pricing, particularly within the China and Middle East trade lanes, and possess excellent relationships with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, and consolidators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare competitive freight quotations for import and export shipments.
  • Obtain the most competitive ocean, air, and multimodal freight rates from international agents, shipping lines, airlines, and logistics partners.
  • Maintain strong relationships with overseas agents, particularly in China and the Middle East.
  • Negotiate freight rates and service agreements to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Continuously monitor freight market trends, carrier surcharges, seasonal fluctuations, and capacity changes.
  • Coordinate closely with the Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and Overseas Network teams.
  • Ensure all quotations are accurate, commercially viable, and submitted within agreed timelines.
  • Analyze pricing trends and recommend strategies to improve margins and win ratios.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of carrier tariffs, agent rates, and contract pricing.
  • Support management with monthly pricing reports, market intelligence, and competitor analysis.
  • Identify new overseas partners and strengthen the company's global procurement network.
  • Assist in handling RFQs, tenders, and key account pricing projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding pricing (Import & Export).
  • Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, including:Ocean Freight (FCL & LCL) Air Freight Cross-trade shipments Project Cargo (preferred)
  • Excellent understanding of freight pricing structures, carrier tariffs, surcharges, and Incoterms.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and freight management systems.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with extensive pricing exposure in the following regions will be given preference:

  • China
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Qatar
  • Oman
  • Kuwait
  • Bahrain
  • Other GCC countries

Existing relationships with international freight agents, NVOCCs, shipping lines, and airlines will be considered a significant advantage.
