We are currently hiring Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineers – SME for an opportunity in Saudi Arabia.

Position: Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer – SME Location: Saudi Arabia Gross Salary: SAR 8,000 – 10,000 per month + HRA + TA

Important Salary Note: Candidates without previous RCM experience will be considered under the minimum gross salary of SAR 8,000.

Job Overview

The Rotating Equipment Mechanical Engineer – SME will provide technical expertise during Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), FMEA/FMECA and reliability studies for rotating equipment.

The role involves supporting the identification of equipment functions, functional failures, failure modes, failure mechanisms and appropriate maintenance strategies to improve reliability, availability, safety and lifecycle performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority for rotating equipment during RCM, FMEA and reliability workshops.
  • Define and validate equipment functions, performance standards and functional failures.
  • Identify credible failure modes, failure mechanisms and degradation processes for rotating equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment failure consequences related to safety, environment, production and maintenance costs.
  • Review equipment history, bad actor reports, vibration data, oil analysis reports and inspection findings.
  • Recommend appropriate maintenance strategies including: Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) Preventive Maintenance (PM) Failure Finding (FF) Run-to-Failure (RTF)
  • Assess maintenance intervals based on equipment criticality, failure characteristics and operating context.
  • Review OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for recurring equipment failures.
  • Validate maintenance tasks and spare-parts requirements generated from RCM studies.
  • Identify reliability improvement opportunities and equipment design enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance on risk mitigation and equipment lifecycle management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, reliability, asset management or machinery engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with compressors, turbines, pumps, motors and auxiliary systems.
  • Proven participation in RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RCA or Reliability Improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with SAP PM.

SAR 11,000 – 14,000 Gross per month, depending on experience and suitability.
