The posting

Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an Endpoint Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology team in New York City. In this role, you’ll join our endpoint engineering group to take ownership of HRT’s existing iOS and Android mobile device program. You’ll grow the program and mature it end-to-end: zero-touch enrollment, managed app distribution, compliance, security controls, telemetry, configuration-as-code, and safe retirement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mobile endpoint engineer who is comfortable owning a program end-to-end and would rather automate a workflow than click through a console. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as a positive, service-oriented approach to supporting team members and internal customers, are crucial to success within this role. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on troubleshooting with long-term systems thinking in order to deliver visible improvements at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain a best-in-class managed mobile experience
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day issues with a hands-on approach; serve as the escalation point for mobile endpoint engineering, security, and deployment-related issues across HRT
  • Investigate recurring problems, provide long-term solutions to prevent them from happening again, and maintain clear documentation for future reference
  • Research, test, and implement best practices for our technical stack and processes
  • Educate technical and non-technical end users on best practices and help improve adoption of effective workflows and tools

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and experience with iOS and Android device management
  • Experience provisioning, deploying, and maintaining mobile endpoints using Apple Business (AB) and a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system such as Jamf Pro, Workspace One, Microsoft Intune, or equivalent
  • Experience managing device configuration as code (Git-based workflows, CI, progressive rollout)
  • Proficiency scripting and building tools with Bash or Python
  • Familiarity with endpoint security fundamentals, identity integration (Entra ID, Okta, or similar) and conditional access
  • A general design approach that incorporates security best practices, business continuity, and scalability
  • A collaborative, can-do mindset and willingness to support others across the team
  • Ability to effectively communicate in technical and non-technical language, and translate information into comprehendible documentation and requirements company-wide
  • Ability to empathize with the end-user and swiftly craft solutions under pressure
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience with carrier management, eSIM provisioning, and international roaming programs
  • Experience with Apple's declarative device management (DDM)
  • Familiarity with macOS or Windows management alongside a mobile fleet
  • Experience with message archiving

The estimated base salary range for this position is 150,000 to 225,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
