Job description

Event Delegate Sales Manager- ShopTalk Reports to: Global Head of Marketing Location: Miami, FL (hybrid) Job type: Full-time, permanent

A bit about us

We're Hyve, organizer of the world's fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events. As the chosen event partner to many of the world's leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies, helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth and connect with the people who matter most. Our portfolio features some of the world's leading events across ecommerce, healthcare, retail, fintech and technology. We're growing rapidly through innovation, acquisition and a culture that empowers ambitious people to make a real impact.

Alongside our market-leading events, we're building technology and data-driven products that create meaningful connections year-round, from hosted meetings and curated networking to digital engagement platforms. Whatever your role, you'll join a team redefining how industries connect, collaborate and grow. Think that sounds good? Wait until our Talent Acquisition team tells you about the culture.

A bit about you

First things first: whatever your background, beliefs or ambitions, there's a culture of belonging at Hyve and everyone is welcome. The question isn't where you've come from, but where you want to go.

You'll thrive here if you're curious, collaborative and not afraid to challenge convention. We look for people who take pride in what they do, who are excited by change and always moving forward. The kind of people who stay open, keep learning and look for better ways to make an impact.

For this role, that means picking up the phone first, asking good questions and knowing the difference between types of attendees.

Our shared behaviors guide how we work: we dare to do things differently, own our work, embrace collaboration, stay true to ourselves and others and remember that optimism wins.

If that sounds like you, you'll fit right in.

About Shoptalk Spring Shoptalk Spring is the flagship event in the Shoptalk portfolio. It runs March 22-24, 2027 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and brings together 10,000+ executives, 150+ speakers and nearly 1,000 technology companies.

A bit about this role

Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, you'll sell paid tickets to Shoptalk Spring 2027 to three key audiences: marketing agencies, tech solution providers and professional services firms. You'll convert individual ticket holders and encourage large group bookings across your key accounts.

This is a new role in the business, with a fast-approaching deadline. The event date doesn't move, so pace matters as much as the total.

As part of your role, you'll:

  • Sell paid tickets to marketing agencies, including marketing, advertising, PR, experiential, digital and in-store agencies.
  • Sell paid tickets to tech solution providers: platforms, tools and technology companies.
  • Sell paid tickets to professional services firms, including strategy, advisory and research firms and systems integrators.
  • Source new leads and build your own prospect lists across all three audiences.
  • Work warm lists, including past attendees, incomplete registrations and inbound enquiries.
  • Run targeted outreach by email and social media, timed to each price change and campaign push.
  • Use competitive analysis to find companies active at competing events and make the case for Shoptalk.
  • Meet prospects in person at industry events and in their offices to close larger and group deals.
  • Convert individual ticket holders and groups, then manage each group from proposal through roster changes and invoicing.
  • Pass anyone interested in exhibiting, sponsorship or the paid Meetup program to the partnerships team.
  • Keep lists current and forecast weekly by audience.
  • Look after the groups you sold and start next year's renewals.

Here's what we're looking for

  • Two to five years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling conference or event tickets.
  • A record of hitting revenue targets, with the numbers to show it.
  • Experience sourcing new leads and building prospect lists from scratch.
  • Experience selling multi-seat or group packages, where the win is building relationships with the budget holders to get them to send a team.
  • Confidence prospecting by email, social media, phone and in person with senior buyers up to the C-suite.
  • The discipline to run a high-volume pipeline in a CRM without letting deals go stale.
  • Willingness to travel to industry events and client meetings.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with selling to corporate audiences.
  • Knowledge of the marketing agency, technology or consulting landscape.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • An existing network among marketing agencies, solution providers or professional services firms.

What success looks like

  • Paid ticket revenue against target, tracked weekly by audience.
  • Group deals closed and average group size.
  • Pace against the same point in last year's cycle.
  • Conversion rate on warm lists and inbound enquiries.
  • New companies brought to the Shoptalk portfolio for the first time.

The benefits

  • Competitive base salary (depending on experience).
  • Lucrative commission plan designed to reward high performance and deliver significant earning potential.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Competitive paid time off: 20 days of PTO, five sick days, your birthday off, two volunteer days and 11 paid company holidays.
  • Hybrid working model.
  • Ongoing learning, development and career progression opportunities across Hyve's global portfolio.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
