This is Hybrid role (4 days in office /1 day remote) About your Team: The Back Office team is the operational and financial backbone of Interactive Brokers, ensuring the accurate, timely processing that keeps our global brokerage running. This group spans a broad set of functions—including Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Clearing, Corporate Actions, Securities Finance, Market Data, and Credit—alongside Business Analytics, Investor Relations, and the CFO Office. Together these teams safeguard the firm's financial integrity, manage cash and securities movements, and deliver critical regulatory reporting. It's a fast-paced environment where precision, accountability, and deep market knowledge drive everything we do. The Financial Regulatory Analyst will have the responsibility for ensuring regulatory compliance with the margin rules (e.g. Regulation T, FINRA rule 4210) for our US registered broker-dealer and FCM. The position offers an opportunity for significant growth. It will suit an intellectually curious person who is keen to learn about regulatory work at an international and technologically advanced broker. In time, and with the training to be provided as part of the role, the analyst will expand to other jurisdictions. This position will require a highly organized, analytical thinker who is persistent as well as resourceful in getting the right answer. Candidates with intellectual curiosity, and attention to detail will thrive in this role. The ability to streamline and automate manual processes will be highly valued. This role does not require travel. Responsibilities:
Review and ensure intraday margin deficiencies are accurate. Review and ensure accuracy of daily margin reports. Work with cross functional groups to ensure margin calls are addressed timely. File extension of time requests under Reg T and FINRA Rule 4210. Prepare the weekly portfolio margin, and the monthly FINRA Rule 4521(d) submissions. Continue to improve automation for all aspects of regulatory requirements. Further document and improve regulatory controls and procedures.
Qualifications :
Ability to evaluate current procedures and design and implement changes in order to streamline operations, while ensuring sufficient checks and balances. Prior experience in highly automated environment and ability to specify programming requirements is a plus. Bachelors or higher degree. Interest in and ability to learn regulatory rules in new jurisdictions.
