We are seeking a motivated early profesional to join our Supply Chain team and support inventory & liability forecasting and process management activities. This role offers hands-on experience in supply chain planning and inventory control, focusing on how product roadmaps and planning processes impact inventory levels and cash flow objectives, as well as liability management with our contract manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in creating and maintaining inventory forecasts to optimize IBM cash flow

· Learn and apply basic concepts of Supply Chain Planning, including demand, supply, and inventory alignment.

· Support monitoring of inventory outlooks and help identify potential risks or excess inventory exposure.

· Collaborate with team members to understand Product Structures, Engineering Change (EC) processes, and MRP systems (SAP and Kinaxis Maestro).

· Help prepare reports and presentations that summarize inventory status and highlight gaps or risks.

· Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing inventory liability and improving turnover.

Learning Opportunities:

· Gain exposure to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and how they drive revenue execution.

· Understand the basics of MRP logic and inventory management tools.

· Learn how financial and accounting principles relate to inventory and cash flow.

· Develop skills in analyzing data to prevent excess inventory and support business objectives.

  • Academic Background: Currently in the final year of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or recently graduated, with graduation completed recently.
  • Data Analysis & Programming: Basic to intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis, data manipulation, and reporting, and/or experience with other data analytics tools, particularly those that integrate with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, interpret information, and support forecasting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Supply Chain Fundamentals: Basic understanding of supply chain planning, fulfillment, inventory management, material availability, and operational processes.
  • Technology Mindset: Strong interest in technology and its application to supply chain planning, process automation, and operational efficiency.
  • English Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced English skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and contribute to shared business objectives.
  • Learning Agility: Willingness to learn new systems, analytical tools, and business processes in a dynamic and technology-driven environment.
  • Professional Experience: Previous internship or professional experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, Operations, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • Supply Chain Systems: Familiarity with tools and platforms such as SAP, Kinaxis, Salesforce, Cognos, and Watson 360.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Exposure to AI technologies and their application in data analysis, forecasting, process automation, or supply chain optimization.
  • Modern Work Practices: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Design Thinking, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Experience with data visualization, dashboards, and reporting tools to support business insights and operational decisions.

Buscamos a un profesional junior motivado para unirse a nuestro equipo de Cadena de Suministro y apoyar en las actividades de pronóstico de inventario y pasivos, así como en la gestión de procesos. Este rol ofrece experiencia práctica en la planificación de la cadena de suministro y el control de inventarios, enfocándose en cómo las hojas de ruta (roadmaps) de productos y los procesos de planificación impactan los niveles de inventario y los objetivos de flujo de caja, así como en la gestión de pasivos con nuestros socios de fabricación por contrato.

Responsabilidades clave:

  • Asistir en la creación y mantenimiento de pronósticos de inventario para optimizar el flujo de caja de IBM.
  • Aprender y aplicar conceptos básicos de Planificación de la Cadena de Suministro, alineando demanda, suministro e inventario.
  • Apoyar en el monitoreo de las proyecciones de inventario y colaborar en la identificación de riesgos potenciales o exposición a exceso de inventario.
  • Colaborar con los miembros del equipo para comprender las Estructuras de Producto, los procesos de Cambios de Ingeniería (EC, por sus siglas en inglés) y los sistemas MRP (SAP y Kinaxis Maestro).
  • Ayudar en la preparación de informes y presentaciones que resuman el estado del inventario y destaquen brechas o riesgos.
  • Participar en iniciativas de mejora de procesos orientadas a reducir el pasivo de inventario y mejorar la rotación.
