Stel je voor: een IT-omgeving die volop in beweging is, internationale overnames die nieuwe technische uitdagingen met zich meebrengen en de vrijheid om zelf mee te bepalen hoe de infrastructuur er in de toekomst uitziet.

Voor een internationaal sterk groeiende organisatie, zoek ik een System Engineer voor hun kantoor in de regio Gent. Door de verdere uitbreiding van de groep is er nood aan iemand die de bestaande IT-omgeving niet alleen beheert, maar ook actief helpt uitbouwen en professionaliseren.

Je krijgt een brede rol met heel wat autonomie. Je werkt rechtstreeks samen met de CIO en krijgt de ruimte om verbeteringen voor te stellen en zelf te realiseren.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruit zien?

  • Je bouwt een eigen, gestandaardiseerde IT-omgeving uit voor de internationale groep en maakt de bestaande infrastructuur stapsgewijs los van de huidige omgeving.
  • Je brengt de IT-omgevingen van overgenomen bedrijven in kaart, documenteert bestaande systemen en begeleidt de migratie naar één centrale structuur.
  • Je staat in voor het beheer en de optimalisatie van Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, netwerken, security, back-ups en monitoring.
  • Je neemt technische uitdagingen zelfstandig vast, van complexe storingen tot verouderde systemen, en werkt hiervoor duurzame oplossingen uit.
  • Je automatiseert repetitieve processen met PowerShell, API's en AI-tools en bouwt mee aan slimme supportoplossingen, runbooks en selfservice.
  • Je coördineert externe IT-partners en waakt erover dat hun oplossingen aansluiten bij de technische standaarden die je mee bepaalt.
  • Je beschikt over een IT-diploma of gelijkwaardige ervaring en hebt idealiter minstens 4 à 5 jaar ervaring in een brede System Engineer-rol.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van Microsoft- en cloudtechnologieën, waaronder Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, netwerken, virtualisatie en back-ups.
  • Je neemt ownership over projecten van begin tot einde, ziet zelf waar verbeteringen mogelijk zijn en wacht niet tot iemand je vertelt wat er moet gebeuren.
  • Je hebt interesse in AI, scripting en automatisering en denkt graag mee over de verdere IT-strategie.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands en Engels. Kennis van het Frans is mooi meegenomen.
