The posting

RDX is looking for an Assistant Brand Manager to sharpen how our brand shows up everywhere customers meet it — online, in retail, in partnerships and on the gym floor. You will turn market and competitor insight into clear recommendations, drive improvements to our website and digital experience, and help open new brand partnerships across combat sports and fitness.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can both think strategically and get things done, working closely with the Brand Manager, e-commerce, creative, product and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

Competitor and market analysis

  • Track key competitors across combat sports, fitness and sportswear: products, pricing, positioning, campaigns, social activity and website experience.
  • Produce a regular competitor report (monthly snapshot, quarterly deep-dive) with clear "so what" recommendations.
  • Monitor category trends, consumer reviews and sentiment to spot gaps and opportunities for RDX.

Website and digital experience

  • Audit the RDX website(s) regularly for brand consistency, UX, product storytelling, content and conversion.
  • Benchmark our site against competitors and best-in-class brands; build a prioritised improvement backlog.
  • Work with the e-commerce and web teams to brief, test and track changes (A/B tests, landing pages, PDP content).

Brand partnerships

  • Identify and research potential partners: athletes, gyms, fight promotions, events, influencers and co-brand opportunities.
  • Initiate outreach, prepare partnership proposals and support negotiations with the Marketing Director
  • Coordinate activation of signed partnerships and report on results against agreed objectives.

Marketing touchpoint improvement

  • Review every customer touchpoint — website, social, email, marketplaces, packaging, retail/POS, events and customer service — for consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Recommend practical improvements to tone, visuals and customer experience, and help roll them out.
  • Help maintain and enforce brand guidelines across internal teams and agencies.

General brand support

  • Support campaign planning, briefs and launches with the creative and marketing teams.
  • Track brand KPIs and prepare regular performance updates for leadership.
  • Manage small budgets and agency/vendor relationships where assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • 3–6 years' experience in brand management, marketing, social media or e-commerce, ideally with a consumer, sports or lifestyle brand.
  • Previous experience working with a Combat Sports brand will be huge plus.
  • Proven experience producing competitor and market analysis that led to real decisions.
  • Experience pitching or managing partnerships, sponsorships or collaborations.
  • Strong analytical skills: comfortable with Google Analytics, Excel/Sheets and social listening tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal English; able to present ideas clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, able to manage several projects and deadlines at once.
  • A strong eye for brand consistency and detail.

Nice to have

  • Experience with international or D2C e-commerce brands (UK, EU, US markets).
  • Basic design literacy (Figma, Canva) to mock up website or creative suggestions.
  • Experience working with agencies, influencers or athlete ambassadors.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
