Position Summary

The Pricing & Business Analyst sits within the Commercial team and is responsible for developing, maintaining, and defending Infra Pipes' pricing and product mix strategy across its North American business while analyzing and trending internal and market data to help drive decisions.

This role operates in a fast-moving, market-driven environment where resin costs, freight, and competitive dynamics shift frequently, and requires the ability to turn market signals into pricing recommendations quickly and accurately.

Works very closely with Supply Chain and Finance leaders on pricing strategy, margin analysis and cost pass-through decisions, and partners with Sales leadership and Finance to ensure pricing decisions protect margin while keeping Infra Pipes competitive and assisting with selection and implementation of appropriate tools for efficiency. Drives and continuously improves reporting and dashboards for monitoring performance and signaling needs to adapt.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Market Analysis

  • Build, maintain, and continuously refine pricing and product/mix models across product lines, regions, and customer segments.
  • Monitor resin (HDPE) and other input cost movements, freight rates, and competitor pricing, and translate market shifts into timely pricing recommendations.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses (e.g., resin cost pass-through, freight surcharge triggers) to support rapid, reactive pricing decisions in volatile markets.

Margin & Mix Analysis

  • Analyze price realization, margin by product/customer/region, and mix shift; flag erosion or opportunity and recommend corrective action.

Commercial Partnership & Deal Support

  • Partner with Sales to evaluate deal-specific pricing requests, discount exceptions, and contract/quote structures, balancing win rate against margin targets.
  • Prepare and maintain price lists, surcharge mechanisms, and price change communications for internal and customer-facing use.

Reporting, Forecasting & Governance

  • Build recurring and ad hoc reporting/dashboards on pricing performance, mix trends, and margin bridge analysis for Commercial and Finance leadership.
  • Support S&OP and forecasting processes with pricing and mix assumptions.
  • Maintain pricing governance documentation and ensure consistency of approach across the US and Canadian entities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3–6+ years of experience in pricing, commercial/business analysis, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
  • Manufacturing or industrial/building-products experience strongly preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis); experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and/or ERP systems a plus.
  • Experience with and openness to learn AI
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to present and defend pricing recommendations to Commercial and Finance leadership.
  • High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership over data integrity.

Other

  • Comfortable operating in a reactive, fast-changing market environment with shifting priorities and tight turnarounds.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Commercial leadership, and Finance, and across the US and Canadian entities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
