Working closely with Warehouse Supervisors, the Lead communicates priorities, reinforces standard operating procedures, and drives accountability and continuous improvement across receiving, processing, sortation, inventory movement, packing, and shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and support Warehouse Associates in meeting daily safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and customer service expectations.
  • Communicate shift priorities, work assignments, performance goals, safety topics, and operational updates.
  • Monitor productivity, throughput, labor utilization, quality, and inventory accuracy; provide real-time feedback and recognition.
  • Coordinate staffing and workflow across receiving, processing, sortation, inventory movement, packing, and shipping activities.
  • Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks and escalate equipment, staffing, safety, quality, or process issues when needed.
  • Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct safety observations, address unsafe conditions, and reinforce proper material-handling practices.
  • Support onboarding, job training, cross-training, and skills development for new and existing team members.
  • Partner with Warehouse Supervisors to address performance gaps and reinforce accountability, engagement, and teamwork.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready work areas by reinforcing 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy activities, and the proper storage and handling of inventory and materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, capacity, quality, and workforce readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, material handling, or a related operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse functions such as receiving, processing, sortation, inventory movement, packing, and shipping.
  • Experience monitoring productivity, throughput, quality, or other operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead by example, communicate expectations, provide coaching, and support team accountability.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, adjust assignments, and respond to changing operational demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse systems, RF devices, or similar technology.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, attendance, inventory accuracy, and customer service standards.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move products in accordance with site and company safety requirements.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a warehouse lead, team lead, trainer, coordinator, or informal frontline leader.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution center or fulfillment environment.
  • Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS), RF scanners, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting staffing plans, labor allocation, productivity targets, cycle counts, or inventory control activities.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean, continuous improvement, visual management, or operational excellence practices.
  • Experience onboarding, training, cross-training, or developing warehouse employees.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
