Senior IT Support Engineer

We are looking for an experience Senior IT Support Engineer to join one of our global logistics clients. This role is the first point of contact for users in supporting users across global and local offices. You will be part of the IT service desk providing 24/7 technical support within a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the IT service desk, guiding the service desk team, representing the team to other stakeholders.
  • Support laptops, mobile devices, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, and business applications onsite or remotely.
  • Monitor IT system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform server maintenance, patching, upgrades, and backup administration.
  • Assist with Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Test (VAPT), IT audits, and disaster recovery exercises with vendors.
  • Supporting planning and execution of annual IT DR drills.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure and system issues, providing escalation support where required.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support IT procurement activities.
  • Manage IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor service desk tickets and ensure compliance to SLA.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior IT support engineers and end users.
  • Participate in 24x7 standby on rotation for urgent escalation from local and regional offices.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in IT/ Computing or minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Experienced in Microsoft 365 products, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Networking and Unified communications/collaboration.
  • Familiar with IT service desk system such as Fresh Service, Service Now.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Administrator, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or ITIL Foundation will be advantageous.
  • Good troubleshooting skills across desktop, server, cloud, networking, and security technologies.
  • Experienced in Service Level Agreements and IT desk deliverables.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Good team player to effectively work with diverse teams.
