As the only 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital serving Niceville and the surrounding Emerald Coast communities, we're trusted to care for pets when they need us most. Our reception team plays an essential role in that experience, serving as the first point of contact for worried pet owners while helping coordinate communication and patient flow throughout the hospital.

If you're an experienced customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates with compassion, and can remain calm under pressure, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Client Care & Communication

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Answer multi-line phones and appropriately prioritize urgent and emergency calls.
  • Coordinate emergency walk-in arrivals and communicate with the medical team.
  • Collect accurate client information, patient histories, and medical records.
  • Provide updates and communicate next steps with clients while navigating sensitive situations.

Hospital Operations

  • Coordinate patient flow between reception and the medical team.
  • Prepare estimates, process invoices, collect payments, and handle financial transactions accurately.
  • Assist with prescription requests and medication or food pickups.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and client documentation.
  • Keep the reception area organized, welcoming, and professional.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with emergency veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and hospital leadership.
  • Support fellow team members during busy emergency periods.
  • Adapt to changing caseloads while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary CSR, Client Service Representative, Medical Receptionist, or Customer Service Professional.
  • Veterinary hospital experience strongly preferred; emergency, specialty, urgent care, or human healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable using computers, scheduling software, and electronic medical records.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented with a genuine interest in helping people and their pets.

Weekend Overnight Schedule

Full-Time | Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

  • Consistent three-night schedule.
  • Dedicated weekend overnight coverage.
  • Opportunity to support a 24/7 emergency and critical care hospital.
  • Eligible overnight and weekend shift differentials may apply.

  • Working around animals of varying sizes, temperaments, and medical conditions.
  • Exposure to animal hair, dander, odors, cleaning chemicals, noise, and occasional bodily fluids.
  • Remaining calm and professional during emotionally difficult situations involving sick or injured pets.

What We Offer

Competitive hourly compensation: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Eligible overnight and weekend differentials may be available.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
