The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Global Regulatory & Compliance Operations based in the United States.

The Director, Global Regulatory & Compliance Operations will lead the development and execution of an enterprise-wide compliance program across multiple international jurisdictions. This strategic yet hands-on role will oversee regulatory obligations, corporate governance, data privacy, anti-corruption, AI governance, and information security compliance. You will transform complex regulatory requirements into practical policies, scalable processes, and effective internal controls. Working closely with executive leadership and teams across Legal, Finance, IT, Security, Product, Engineering, HR, and Commercial functions, you will strengthen organizational accountability and risk management. You will also establish consistent compliance reporting, audit readiness, and customer assurance processes. This is an opportunity to build and shape a global compliance function within a growing SaaS business serving critical infrastructure industries.

Accountabilities

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve an enterprise-wide compliance framework covering policies, procedures, internal controls, risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Maintain a comprehensive regulatory obligations register and compliance calendar covering the United States, Canada, India, and other relevant jurisdictions.
  • Lead corporate and entity governance activities, ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee global data privacy compliance, including GDPR, PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, and applicable US state privacy regulations.
  • Develop and manage anti-bribery and anti-corruption policies, ethics programs, and related compliance controls.
  • Establish and operationalize enterprise AI governance policies and processes in response to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Lead compliance readiness and coordination for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant security frameworks, audits, and attestations.
  • Partner with IT and Security teams to coordinate audit evidence, maintain control ownership, address gaps, and support successful assessments.
  • Standardize processes for responding to customer security assessments, compliance questionnaires, RFPs, and contractual compliance obligations.
  • Establish compliance training programs and monitor completion across all regions and employee populations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate emerging requirements into actionable business policies and controls.
  • Provide regular executive reporting on compliance risks, regulatory changes, control effectiveness, overall program status, and remediation progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to embed compliance responsibilities into business operations and support sustainable growth.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, Information Management, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, corporate governance, or a related discipline, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdictional compliance programs, ideally covering North America and India.
  • Working knowledge of global data privacy regulations, including GDPR, PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25, and applicable US state privacy laws.
  • Knowledge of anti-bribery and anti-corruption requirements, including ABAC and FCPA, as well as corporate entity governance.
  • Experience owning or leading SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable compliance audits and attestations.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to design, implement, and scale compliance programs and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executive leadership and work effectively across diverse teams.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) or relevant professional certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CCEP, CRCM, or CISA.
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology company, preferably within a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and emerging regulations, including the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO 42001, and the EU AI Act.
  • Exposure to regulated industries such as utilities, energy, pipelines, telecommunications, or other critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Experience implementing or administering governance, risk, and compliance platforms such as Vanta, Drata, or OneTrust.
  • Establish a comprehensive global regulatory obligations register and compliance calendar, ensuring applicable statutory and regulatory filings are completed on time.
  • Document and operationalize enterprise privacy and AI governance programs, including policies, procedures, ownership, and appropriate controls.
  • Achieve 100% completion of required compliance training across all regions and employee populations.
  • Implement standardized processes for responding to customer security assessments, compliance questionnaires, RFPs, and contractual requirements.
  • Establish clear compliance ownership of SOC 2 and other applicable security frameworks, with coordinated evidence collection, clean audit results, and no control gaps caused by unclear ownership or coordination.
  • Introduce regular executive-level compliance reporting covering regulatory developments, enterprise risk, control effectiveness, and remediation progress.
  • Annual base salary: USD $175,000. Final offers may vary depending on experience, skills, and location. The stated range reflects base salary only and excludes other potential compensation components.
  • Comprehensive health insurance options, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Flexible paid time off policy and company-paid holidays.
  • Life insurance coverage.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Employee discounts and additional perks programs.
  • One-time work-from-home stipend to support your home office setup.
  • Company events and opportunities to connect with colleagues, including monthly team lunches, volunteer outings, and quarterly gatherings.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
