The posting

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer is a project-based contract role responsible for supporting the execution, technical verification, and quality assurance of projects. The Field Engineer shall verify that assigned manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and remediation activities conform to approved engineering documentation, equipment installation manuals, project specifications, and applicable standards.

The role requires strong technical judgment, independent execution, accurate reporting, and effective coordination with teams, site personnel, and third-party contractors.

Scope of Responsibilities

Field Administration and Document Control: Organize and maintain field operations documentation, including approved procedures, inspection and test records, engineering changes, remediation logs, and supporting project documentation.

Autonomy and Initiative: Execute assigned activities with minimal oversight, coordinate daily priorities, proactively identify technical issues, and escalate matters requiring engineering or management direction.

Safety Standards and Practices: Follow applicable safety standards, requirements, and site-specific procedures. Participate in job hazard analyses and pre-task planning; use required personal protective equipment; follow applicable lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures; and promptly report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions. Stop work when conditions are unsafe and perform only activities within assigned training, qualifications, and authorization.

Technical Execution: Implement approved engineering change requests and change orders on core technology and platforms. Execute and document Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).

Equipment Verification: Verify equipment installation against approved manuals and specifications, and support field commissioning and manufacturing milestones within the assigned scope.

Technical Reporting and Turnover: Capture clear photographic evidence and prepare accurate technical reports documenting equipment conditions, test results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and completion verification. Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports, as required, summarizing progress, outstanding issues, NCR status, and closeout requirements. Compile turnover documentation and support quality audits for assigned activities.

Contractor Oversight and Remediation Management: Coordinate, guide, and monitor third-party contractors during remediation activities. Verify that corrective work follows approved engineering instructions, established safety procedures, and defined acceptance criteria.

Non-Conformance Management: Identify, flag, and document defective materials, equipment, or workmanship. Initiate or support Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), track corrective actions through completion, and verify the documentation and evidence required for closure.

Root Cause Analysis: Perform or support root cause analysis (RCA) of technical and quality issues. Document findings, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and verify their implementation and effectiveness, as assigned.

Additional Project Activities: Perform related field engineering, technical verification, and quality support activities as required by management within the agreed contractual scope.

Travel: Travel to project sites, manufacturing facilities, and other designated locations as required to fulfill project assignments.

Expected Deliverables

Deliverables shall include organized field documentation; completed FAT and equipment verification records; engineering change implementation records; technical and progress reports with photographic evidence; updated NCR and remediation logs; RCA findings and corrective action records, as applicable; and complete turnover documentation for assigned activities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
