Job Overview
Jensen Hughes has exciting career opportunities available for an entry-level Associate Process Safety Consultant in our office in Columbia, MD. This position is primarily an in-office role with some hybrid/remote work possible. We are open to considering candidates for our other offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional client service by independently managing tasks and collaboratively contributing to team efforts to address the complex needs of clients.
- Analyze and execute diverse instructions provided in written, oral, diagram or schedule form to ensure alignment with client objectives and organizational goals.
- Review and interpret a wide range of technical documentation, including procedures, specifications, drawings, policies, regulations and guidebooks, ensuring thorough understanding and compliance with applicable standards.
- Perform research, testing, modeling, engineering analysis or other technical tasks as directed by a project manager.
- Assess safety, health and environmental risks posed by chemical compositions, materials, production processes and engineering designs, and prepare a variety of work products designed to manage those risks.
- Assist in the presentation of complex information by consolidating data into clear, concise reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other deliverables tailored to support informed decision-making and actionable recommendations for clients.
- Communicate effectively with managers, coworkers and clients.
- Develop creative solutions to practical problems in dynamic environments with limited standardization, leveraging critical thinking and adaptability to address unique challenges.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or other related science and engineering field.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of your time depending on client needs.
- Effective written and oral communication skills, to be demonstrated through interviews and writing samples.
- Passion for continuous learning, exceeding client expectations and making our world safe, secure and resilient.

National Pay Range
$60,000—$100,000 USD
