JUNIOR LEGAL ASSOCIATE Jeyabalen & Partners | Singapore

Jeyabalen & Partners invites applications from motivated junior lawyers who are keen to develop their legal skills, take ownership of their work and contribute to the growth of the practice.

We are looking for an individual with initiative, sound professional judgment and an entrepreneurial outlook, who is interested in building client relationships and developing a practice over time.

The role

  • Assist with the conduct of matters, including legal research, drafting, case preparation and client communications.
  • Manage assigned work diligently and progress towards handling matters independently.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to business development, including identifying opportunities, cultivating professional contacts and bringing new work to the practice.

The candidate

  • Admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, preferably with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Strong research, drafting and communication skills.
  • Responsible, resourceful and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Committed to professional integrity and attentive client service.
  • Motivated to develop a client following. An existing network or demonstrated ability to originate work would be an advantage.

The opportunity

The role offers hands-on experience, close involvement in client matters and the opportunity to help grow the practice. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and the contribution the successful candidate can make.
