We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and play a pivotal role in one of our most significant strategic programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects that will transform how student data is collected, reported and used across the higher education sector.   About the team The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) sits within our Transformation Directorate and acts as Jisc's centre of excellence for project and programme delivery. The team is responsible for delivering strategic initiatives across the organisation, driving change that matters to our members, customers and the wider education sector. As a senior member of the EPMO, you'll contribute not only to delivering successful projects but also to shaping and advancing project management best practice across Jisc.   About the role This role sits within a major transformation programme introducing In-Year Student Data and Statistics Reporting across the sector. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll lead large-scale, business-critical projects with significant stakeholder complexity and organisational impact. A key focus of the role will be leading strategic communications and stakeholder engagement activities, ensuring the right people are informed, involved and prepared throughout the transformation journey. This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys bringing clarity to ambiguity, and can confidently influence at all levels, from operational teams through to senior executives and sector stakeholders.     What you'll be doing

Facilitate workshops to identify stakeholder needs, capture insight and shape engagement approaches. Create and maintain communications and engagement roadmaps aligned to programme milestones. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing, negotiating and driving alignment. Identify stakeholder risks, opportunities and emerging concerns, ensuring these are effectively managed. Produce insightful reporting and recommendations for programme leadership. Drive project governance, including risk and issue management, change control, financial oversight, benefits tracking and decision management. Ensure business change is successfully embedded and intended outcomes are realised. Support, mentor and guide colleagues within the EPMO, helping to raise project management maturity across the organisation. Make informed delivery decisions that balance speed, quality and scope while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.

What we're looking for We're interested in hearing from experienced project professionals who can demonstrate:   Essential experience

A proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex projects and programmes. Significant experience leading stakeholder engagement, communications or change-focused initiatives. Strong workshop facilitation skills and the ability to turn discussions into actionable delivery plans. Experience developing and delivering engagement and communication plans for diverse stakeholder groups. Success managing stakeholder risks, issues and competing priorities in complex environments. Experience delivering projects that combine both business change and stakeholder engagement. Strong governance and project control experience. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
