The role will ideally be located in Raynham, MA, Warsaw, IN, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or West Chester, PA however remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the Company.

Purpose:

We are seeking a Director, Health Systems Value Strategy to define and drive how our organization demonstrates, quantifies, and delivers portfolio-level value to health systems across the U.S. As Director, Health Systems Value Strategy, you will build the frameworks, insights, and capabilities that move customer conversations beyond individual products toward portfolio-level partnerships. You will translate complex clinical, economic, operational, policy, and reimbursement information into clear strategies that help health systems improve outcomes, efficiency, and financial performance. We are seeking a strategic, customer-focused leader who can combine analytical rigor, executive presence, and commercial acumen to create new capabilities with enterprise impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the health system value strategy. Build evidence-based frameworks and customer-specific models that quantify clinical, operational, and financial impact across episodes of care, quality programs, and site-of-care shifts.
  • Create portfolio-level value propositions. Connect evidence, reimbursement intelligence, and customer data into a differentiated narrative that demonstrates the combined value of the portfolio.
  • Build and lead a Hospital Administrator Advisory Board. Design its charter and operating model; recruit senior health system executives; facilitate high-value engagements; and convert insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Advance value-based pricing. Provide reimbursement, economic, evidence, payer-mix, procedure-mix, and site-of-care insights that help to inform pricing strategy.
  • Explore outcomes-based contracting. Assess models, identify priority products and customer segments, and build pilot frameworks with appropriate outcome measures, data requirements, risk models, contract structures, and success criteria.
  • Enable strategic account teams. Develop training, tools, policy briefs, value conversation guides, and rapid-response updates that strengthen executive-level customer engagement.
  • Translate a changing environment into action. Monitor health system trends and U.S. policy, coding, coverage, payment, quality-program, and site-of-care developments; turn them into customer-specific strategies and business implications.
  • Build a scalable function. Establish governance, processes, tools, content standards, and performance measures while influencing across HEMA, Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Medical and Clinical Affairs, Pricing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and R&D.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health economics, public health, health policy, business, life sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in health economics, market access, health systems strategy, commercial strategy, or a related discipline within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare, including at least three years at a leadership level.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. health system economics and decision-making, including how executive, finance, procurement, quality, supply chain, and clinical leaders evaluate industry partnerships.
  • Strong U.S. reimbursement and payment policy expertise, with the ability to translate coding, coverage, payment, quality-program, and site-of-care developments into business and customer implications.
  • Demonstrated customer-facing experience with health system executives and the ability to turn complex evidence and economic insights into credible, actionable solutions.
  • Experience building new capabilities, strategic programs, or functions and leading initiatives that influence enterprise or commercial outcomes.
  • Experience managing external advisory boards, customer councils, or structured executive engagement programs, including facilitation and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, executive communication, and cross-functional leadership skills, with a record of influencing without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MPH, MHA, MS, or PhD in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in medical devices, surgical technology, value-based pricing, outcomes-based contracting, risk-sharing, or performance-based arrangements.
  • Familiarity with CMS quality programs, price transparency, bundled payment models, and value-based care frameworks.
  • Digital health acumen, including data-enabled solutions, interoperability, analytics, and their application to health system value propositions.
  • Established relationships within the health system executive community and experience influencing VP-level and senior stakeholders.

Required Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic vision: Sees the health system landscape holistically and translates evolving customer, market, policy, and economic dynamics into clear enterprise strategy and priorities.
  • Customer-centered leadership: Builds strategy from the health system perspective and creates partnerships that deliver meaningful, measurable value for customers and the business.
  • Executive presence and facilitation: Engages credibly with C-suite and senior leaders, facilitates high-stakes discussions, and builds trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Builder mindset: Turns ambiguity into action and creates new capabilities, operating models, programs, and governance structures that can scale.
  • Analytical and commercial acumen: Integrates clinical, economic, reimbursement, operational, and financial evidence to guide decisions, strengthen value propositions, and support commercial outcomes.
  • Enterprise influence: Mobilizes diverse partners, navigates competing priorities, and drives alignment and execution across functions without relying on direct authority.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
