The posting

Junior Accountant at The Joseph, A Luxury Collection Hotel, will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our esteemed property located in Chicago, IL. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic hospitality environment while contributing to the success of a luxury hotel experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with audits and financial reviews as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
