Обеспечивает рациональную организацию труда среднего и прочего персонала, повышение их квалификации. Следит за правильностью хранения и использования лекарственных средств и медицинских изделий. Следит за соответствием помещений правилам хранения медикаментов, инструментария, и других материальных ценностей. Своевременно осуществляет перестановку медицинских сестер, замещая внезапно заболевших или не вышедших на работу. Непосредственно руководит работой медицинских сестер лечебных, хирургического и смотрового кабинетов, регистраторами и медицинскими сестрами других лечебно-диагностических и вспомогательных кабинетов, работающих без врача. Составляет график рабочего времени сотрудников на выходные и праздничные дни Ведет списочный учет всех контрольно-измерительных приборов с указанием сроков проверки, по истечению которых направляет эти приборы на проверку (тонометры, весы и т.д.) или вызывает для этой цели в поликлинику работников метрологической службы. Проводит комиссионно списание неисправных, не подлежащих ремонту по износу оборудования, приборов, аппаратов и инструментов. Осуществляет ежедневно обход поликлиники, контролируя соблюдение трудовой дисциплины средним медицинским персоналом, подготовку медицинскими сестрами рабочих мест к приему больных. Разрабатывает и представляет главному врачу на утверждение план повышения квалификации среднего медперсонала поликлиники на год и на перспективу (курсы специализации, обучение на рабочем месте без отрыва от работы и пр.); составляет план проведения конференции медицинских сестер, организуя их проведение не реже 1 раза в месяц, используя их как действенную форму повышения квалификации среднего медперсонала. Ведет работу медицинского склада. Списание и утилизацию просроченных лекарственных средств и медицинских изделий.
