1. Работа с первичными документами. Бухгалтер принимает, проверяет (на форму, полноту, наличие всех реквизитов) и оформляет документы, которые фиксируют факты хозяйственной жизни школы (накладные, акты, табели учёта рабочего времени, листки нетрудоспособности и т.п.). Затем он систематизирует их, составляет сводные документы, готовит к передаче в архив и при необходимости изготавливает копии. Также он следит, чтобы ответственные сотрудники не нарушали график документооборота, и при выявлении таких случаев информирует директора. 2. Учёт и отражение операций. На основе первичных документов бухгалтер регистрирует данные в регистрах учёта, отражает на счетах движение основных средств, материальных ценностей и денежных средств. Он начисляет и перечисляет налоги и сборы в бюджет, страховые взносы во внебюджетные фонды, платежи в банки, начисляет и выплачивает заработную плату сотрудникам, а также производит отчисления на материальное стимулирование. Ещё в его задачи может входить составление отчётных калькуляций, распределение косвенных расходов, начисление амортизации.
