Организует и осуществляет непосредственное руководство деятельностью заведующих амбулаторно-поликлиническими подразделениями больницы. Организует и обеспечивает проведение научно-практических и клинико-анатомических конференций, семинаров и декадников для врачей, клинических разборов больных. Разрабатывает перспективные и текущие планы организации амбулаторно-поликлинической и профилактической работы в больнице, осуществляет систематический контроль за их выполнением. Утверждает планы работы профильных подразделений учреждения. Координирует работу профильных подразделений учреждения Организует составление графиков работы врачей, графиков проведения диспансерных осмотров, проведения периодических осмотров; обеспечивает их выполнение. Анализирует среднюю нагрузку на врачей, разрабатывает мероприятия по обеспечению равномерности нагрузки и ритмичности медицинского обслуживания населения. Принимает отчеты и объяснительные записки по ним от заведующих профильными подразделениями, врачей-специалистов; анализирует работу медицинского персонала. Контролирует правильность и своевременность оформления медицинской документации и нормативных, учредительных документов, утвержденных Министерством здравоохранения и социального развития Российской Федерации. Контролирует качество медицинского обслуживания (объем, качество и своевременность оказания медицинской помощи, правильность диагностики, применения лекарственных средств, показаний к госпитализации, и пр.).

Высшее образование специалитет по одной из специальностей: Лечебное дело, Педиатрия, Медико-профилактическое дело, Стоматология . Плюс послевузовская подготовка: интернатура и (или) ординатура по специальности Организация здравоохранения и общественное здоровье . Либо профессиональная переподготовка по специальности Организация здравоохранения и общественное здоровье . Требуется не менее пяти лет в должности врача-специалиста или не менее трёх лет в должности руководителя структурного подразделения медицинской организации. Свидетельство об аккредитации по одной из двух специальностей: Организация здравоохранения и общественное здоровье
