The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Advisor, Life and Health Insurance based in Canada.

This is a 12-month temporary opportunity for an insurance professional to contribute to the development and improvement of life and health insurance programs and processes. You’ll use your industry expertise to analyze complex issues, develop practical solutions, and support initiatives aligned with organizational priorities. The role combines advisory work, data analysis, process development, documentation, and collaboration with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to influence insurance practices by developing recommendations, action plans, tools, methods, and processes. Strong analytical capabilities and business insight will be essential when conducting studies, interpreting data, and resolving challenging issues. The position is fully remote and offers a collaborative environment where interpersonal skills and cross-functional communication are highly valued. It’s an excellent fit for an insurance professional who enjoys solving problems, advising stakeholders, and turning expertise into meaningful improvements.

Accountabilities:

  • Diagnose insurance-related issues, challenges, and stakeholder needs to establish clear objectives and determine appropriate target outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of objectives, solutions, policies, programs, processes, and action plans related to life and health insurance.
  • Analyze data and conduct studies to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop recommendations and practical solutions based on business objectives, priorities, and an in-depth understanding of the insurance field.
  • Prepare clear reports, documentation, insurance-related materials, and other deliverables to support decision-making and program implementation.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, methods, and processes that improve insurance operations and client or partner experiences.
  • Provide advice and support to clients, partners, and internal stakeholders on matters related to life and health insurance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from different areas of the organization, using strong interpersonal skills to facilitate alignment and resolve complex issues.
  • Support insurance processes involving documentation, contracts, reinsurance arrangements, and the resolution of contested medical matters as required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with other combinations of education and relevant professional experience potentially considered.
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in life and health insurance or a closely related field.
  • Solid knowledge of life and health insurance concepts, processes, and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to investigate issues, interpret data, conduct studies, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different functions.
  • Strong business insight and strategic thinking, combined with an action-oriented approach to solving problems and delivering results.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • French proficiency is required for this position in Quebec.
  • English proficiency is required at the level appropriate to the role, work tools, and interactions with English-speaking partners, members, or clients.
  • A valid driver's licence is required for occasional travel within Quebec.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, influence stakeholders, and translate insurance expertise into practical solutions.
  • Temporary full-time position for 12 months.
  • Fully remote work arrangement.
  • Competitive salary and annual bonus.
  • Four weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year.
  • Defined benefit pension plan designed to provide predictable and stable retirement income.
  • Group insurance coverage, including telemedicine services.
  • Reimbursement of eligible health and wellness expenses.
  • Reimbursement or support for eligible telework equipment.
  • Benefits are provided according to applicable eligibility criteria.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
