This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Assistente Contábil (Afirmativo para Pessoas Negras) based in Brazil.
This role supports accounting and tax-related operations within a structured shared-services environment. You will be responsible for invoice processing, municipal tax activities, reconciliations, and operational controls. The position plays an important part in maintaining fiscal compliance and ensuring accurate, timely financial processes. You will work closely with different teams, identifying operational deviations and helping implement corrective actions. The role offers exposure to process improvement, automation, and digital tools within a collaborative environment. Strong organization, analytical thinking, and service orientation are essential to delivering reliable results. The position operates on a commercial schedule with a hybrid or fully remote work model.
Accountabilities:
- Issue and validate service invoices (NFS-e), ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable municipal legislation and requirements.
- Perform municipal tax calculations and support the accurate execution of related tax routines.
- Reconcile and regularize open service-related items, investigating discrepancies and ensuring appropriate resolution.
- Identify and report operational deviations, helping determine root causes and proposing corrective actions and process improvements.
- Participate in operational meetings, contributing relevant information, following up on activities, and supporting alignment across different teams.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery and timely completion of accounting and tax activities.
- High school diploma is required, or candidates may be pursuing a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous knowledge or experience with service invoice issuance and ISS-related routines is required.
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills are mandatory, particularly for analysis, controls, reconciliations, and operational tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate issues, identify root causes, and contribute to practical solutions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with different teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, combined with initiative, resilience, results orientation, and a strong service mindset.
- English or Spanish knowledge is desirable, while experience with SAP is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with automation tools and process-improvement solutions is also a plus.
- Hybrid or fully remote work arrangement.
- Commercial working schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:40 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:40 PM.
