This is a high-impact opportunity to join a Corporate Development team focused on mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives. The role supports transactions from sourcing and evaluation through diligence, execution, and post-close integration. You will develop investment theses, manage deal pipelines, conduct market research, and contribute to financial analysis. Working closely with cross-functional leaders, you will help shape inorganic growth strategies and identify opportunities to expand product capabilities. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence strategic decisions with measurable business impact. Accountabilities:
- Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives across the broader business, contributing to transactions from initial evaluation through completion.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to conduct financial and business diligence, review transaction documentation, and support detailed financial modeling.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and industry assessments to identify potential acquisition targets, emerging opportunities, and relevant market dynamics.
- Develop and refine investment theses and contribute to evaluating strategic opportunities based on financial, market, and business considerations.
- Help manage the corporate development pipeline and build relationships with emerging startups, investors, and other relevant market participants.
- Monitor software, AI, and broader technology trends to identify developments that could influence strategic priorities and future growth opportunities.
- Support post-transaction integration activities and collaborate with internal teams to help ensure strategic initiatives deliver their intended impact.
- Maintain a customer-first perspective when evaluating business decisions and strategic opportunities, keeping customer value at the center of recommendations.
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a similar field, with hands-on experience supporting live M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial modeling and valuation methodologies, including business case development, comparable-company or multiples-based approaches, and discounted cash flow analysis.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze complex financial information, identify key insights, and translate findings into clear strategic recommendations.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Demonstrated curiosity about software, artificial intelligence, and the future of AI, combined with a strong awareness of technology and market trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex financial, strategic, and market concepts for different audiences.
- A growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities may evolve.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build productive relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, investors, and external market participants.
- A customer-oriented approach and commitment to making thoughtful, data-informed decisions that create meaningful business value.
- Annual cash compensation ranging from $105,800 to $158,700 USD, with individual packages tailored to skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
- Eligibility for participation in an equity plan through restricted stock units (RSUs), depending on role eligibility.
- Additional compensation opportunities may include annual bonus targets under the applicable bonus plan and overtime pay for eligible roles.
