Join a remote audio data collection project supporting the development of speech recognition and conversational artificial intelligence technologies. As an Audio Transcription Specialist, you will listen to recorded conversations in Brazilian Portuguese and convert spoken content into accurate, clear, and well-formatted text. Your work will help improve the quality of language data used to train and evaluate AI systems. You will follow established transcription guidelines, review your work carefully, and ensure that assigned tasks meet quality standards and deadlines. This opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented individuals with strong listening, language, and typing skills who enjoy independent, structured work. Accountabilities

  • Listen carefully to recorded audio files in Brazilian Portuguese and accurately transcribe spoken conversations into written text.
  • Follow project-specific transcription guidelines, formatting requirements, and quality standards.
  • Review completed transcripts to identify and correct errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
  • Recognize spoken language patterns and accurately capture conversational content.
  • Complete assigned transcription tasks within established deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.
  • Handle audio recordings, transcripts, and other project materials confidentially.
  • Use the designated online tools and platforms to complete and submit transcription assignments.
  • Follow project instructions and communicate with the project team when clarification or support is needed.
  • Contribute to the quality of speech recognition and conversational AI systems by producing reliable language data.
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Brazilian Portuguese proficiency at B2 level or higher.
  • Strong listening comprehension and accurate typing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify subtle errors and inconsistencies in audio and written text.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, transcription conventions, and formatting guidelines.
  • Comfort working independently on audio-based and text-based assignments.
  • Reliable internet connection and access to a computer suitable for completing transcription tasks.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of project materials.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience in audio transcription, data annotation, or data labeling.
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with AI tools, online work platforms, or projects involving speech recognition and language data.
  • Nice to have: Proficiency in additional languages.
  • Flexible remote work from Brazil.
